Its mornin, I'm updating my easyjournal. Why am I updating my easyjournal in the morning?
I say that as if i often update at night. So, why am i uypdating my eayjournal at all?
You'd think I'd know, being the one doing the updating and such. I guess I just feel enough inspiration to write, that is to be assumed since I am writing and all.
Anyway, I went to State Officers Convention and Broyhill Leadership Conference last week. I won't do those who weren't there the injustice of trying to describe the people or the experience. It was, in every way, beyond anything I've ever been a part of before.
Coming back to the "real world" consequently has been extremely depressing. I never thought that leaving people I'd known so short a time, some not even a week, would be so sad. But saying goodbye was one of the hardest I've ever had to do. To think that we'd shaired something so special, yet may never see each other again, is saddening beyond words. It's amazing how many little things can touch you so much when ur around so many wonderful people. I'll never be able to listen to lean on me again without thinking of all of my fellow state officers. And forgetting the grief of leaving, I must say that I am so incredibly thankful for the oppurtunity to form the amazing relationships that I did.
And so, I'm gunna go...
Inspiration is an amazing thing, as are the people who bring it into the lives of others.
State Officers '06-'07, you are all truly amazing people, each in your own way. Thank you all for everything.
Lean on me, when you're not strong. And I'll be your friend, I'll help you carry on. For, it won't be long, 'til I'm gonna need somebody to lean on...
